Was born November 1962 in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. He graduated in 1986 at the University of Baghdad faculty Architectural Engineering. After graduation he worked as executive field engineer for construction companies in several cities in Iraq. 1988 he founded his own architects firm Studio Saida in Erbil Northern Iraq. Untill 1993 he designed several dwellings, villas, apartments, a hotel, shops, fountains, a city square and a guest house. At the same time he was architectural expert for the Court of Appeal in Erbil. From 1993 onwards he is residing in the Netherlands. First he worked at Ebbens Architects in Epe where he worked on industrial buildings, distribution centres and utility buildings. In 1998 he started working for A+D+P Architects in Deventer as a senior draughtsman and later on became a project manager. He worked on Office buildings, city halls, a crematory, housing projects, production halls and interior assignments. Early 2001 he started Studio Saida, a facilitating architectural and consultancy bureau. With this studio he mainly participated in utility buildings, commercial projects and interior assignments. End of 2002 he joined the workforce of the Ockenburg group in the Hague. In participation with architects, project developers and civil engineers he worked as a project manager on renovation and refurbishing of old buildings and new projects like multi functional buildings and shopping malls. End of 2002 he rejoins with A+D+P Architects, branch of Amsterdam, as assistant architect/project manager where he works with his colleague Martin Schepers on several large projects. His Portfolio contains the Ateliergebouw, het Nieuwe Rijksmuseum, the building for de Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed in Amersfoort, all projects for established world known architects. From 2007 until October 2008 he worked at SHP-Architecten in Zoeterwoude as project manager where he worked on housing projects. From October 2008 he started the co-partnership Bureau BOUwwIJZEN together with Martin Schepers. |
